THE STORY
The titular Legrand is a chaotic world plagued with destructions and sorrows that stemmed from the struggles of ancient past. Despite its troubles, Legrand is actually a fascinating universe filled with a plethora of mesmerizing landscapes and cultures, magical artifacts, and fantastical creatures that one can only dream of.
Players are invited to explore this majestic realm by following 6 reluctant heroes on their journey to defend Legrand from dark forces, and witness an intriguing story of human nature and personal redemption unfolds.
GAMEPLAY
Unique Turn Based Combat System with Quick Time Event (aka ACT – Action Circle Tempo) Players need to strategize to take advantage of the enemies’ flaws as well as the elements’ strengths and weaknesses (i.e. fire, water, earth, air, lightness and darkness). This game also utilizes Weapon Triangle similar to the Fire Emblem series (i.e. slash beats pierce, pierce beats impact, impact beats slash). Once the commands have been inputted for all active combatants, players will have to watch out for the Quick Time Event dial (aka ACT – Action Circle Tempo as we call it), and press the correct directional button at the right time to get attack bonuses. If players missed the ACT, penalties will be incurred.
The unique feature about our combat system is that with every turn, all characters and enemies move simultaneously – some are faster and some are slower, depending on their moves or animation speed.
Large Scale War Battle System As the game progresses, players will gradually amass troops to defend their castle, help destitute villagers, protect merchant caravans, or attack bandit lairs. Winning wars will increase the character’s fame and players will be rewarded with more powerful troops.
Crafting System Players have to scavenge whatever they can find from the remains of defeated monsters. These materials can be sold for money or used to upgrade equipment and craft necessary items.
MMO-Style Character Leveling System Players are free to choose however they want to level up.
Grimoire (Magic) Learning System Linked to the character leveling system, characters will acquire new abilities by fulfilling the requirements.
Side Quests Along the way, players will encounter detours from the main mission. Completing these side quests will net players with various rewards.
Castle Building This mechanic is inspired by the Suikoden series, where players can recruit NPC from all over Legrand and build a base to accommodate their growing forces.
Town Exploration Players can visit towns for a brief respite in between battles to sell off unwanted loot for money, upgrade equipment, or craft items. Many side quests can also be found in these towns and interactions with the townsfolk will allow players to get to know their characters better.
Dungeon Exploration Players will encounter dungeons where they will battle monsters and epic bosses.
Menu Customization Players can customize grimoire and items that their characters are able to wield in combat, input points to level up, review journal to tracks quests, and use restorative items to restore lost health.
