Caligula Details Its Battle System And Introduces Some Of Its Main CharactersBy Sato . March 11, 2016 . 3:00am www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/008_thumb-5.jpgFuRyu released the latest details and screenshots on Caligula, with new screenshots and information on the game’s battle system characters, and more. By selecting action commands of allies during battle, the “Imagination” visualizes as part of the “Imaginary Chain” system. As you select actions for each member, the “Imagination” updates, and you’ll get to read the actions of allies and enemies as they activate. By using this, anyone can come up with splendid combos as part of the game’s refreshing battle system. To give you a better idea, here’s a look at how it goes through a series of actions in battle: www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/009_thumb-5.jpg1. An ally uses a launching attribute attack. You can then confirm the enemy being launched in the air, putting them in a defenseless situation. www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/010_thumb-7.jpg2. Following, against the enemy that got launched and in a defenseless position, you pick an attack to hit in the air. You can then confirm in the “Imagination” to see if the attack hits the enemy. www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/011_thumb-4.jpg3. Furthermore, with the third party member, you can shoot the enemy in mid-air. The “Imagination” updates and shows the third attack connecting into the defenseless target. www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/012_thumb-6.jpg4. And finally, the fourth member can go for the finishing blow. The “Imagination” will depict all four attacks connecting, and you’re ready to put it into action. www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/013_thumb-5.jpg5. The time that has stopped will begin moving again, and you’ll see the splendid combo with huge damage take place right before your eyes. Next up, is some information on the over 500 unique students that you’ll meet in Mobius. www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/015_thumb-4.jpg www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/016_thumb-4.jpgwww.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/017_thumb-4.jpgIn the imaginary world of an ideal school life in repeat, “Mobius,” features over 500 characters, and they’re all living in there the way they want. They all have characteristic names and profiles, and all of their troubles and worries they experience in the real life has been forgotten in Mobius. Connecting with them may be the key to escaping Mobius. www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/021_thumb-4.jpgThe “Catharsis Effect” is a function that was made just for those of the “Return Group.” It makes a black mass rip through their skin and take the form of a weapon. One common characteristic is that a flower painfully blooms through their chest. Other than that, the Catharsis Effects are vastly different from person to person, and they say that contrary to the intention, it has dark color and it expresses what’s inside of the user. www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/004_thumb-6.jpg www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/003_thumb-6.jpgThe above is a look at the protagonist in his normal form and Catharsis Effect form. Shogo Satake: www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/005_thumb-5.jpgwww.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/018_thumb-4.jpgShogo’s Catharsis Effect brings out an abnormally large pistol. Both hands also get heavy handcuffs attached onto them. His battle style is a mid to long-ranged attacker. Mifue Shinohara: www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/006_thumb-6.jpgwww.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/014_thumb-5.jpgMifue’s Catharsis Effect brings out a hammer-like weapon. Her effect is also characterized by the armor that covers her mouth. Her battle style is a close-ranged high firepower attacker. The “Ostinato” are musicians that go against the main characters. They are the ones that compose music for μ. They plan to destroy the Return Group that plans to escape from Mobius. Here’s a look at one of the Ostinato musicians named “Sweet-P”: Sweet-P CV: Emi Nitta Character Sound Composer: OSTER project www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/002_thumb-6.jpgSweet-P is the fashion leader of Mobius, and also a member of the Ostinato that goes by the fashion trend of “yume kawaii” (dreamy cute). She is characterized by her long eyelashes and her large bright eyes. www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/020_thumb-3.jpgShe produces music of girlish taste, that goes with her pastel and fairy tale-like looks. She even has some very passionate female fans. Caligula will release on June 23, 2016 for PlayStation Vita. The game is being developed by Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment makers, Aquria.

Caligula details prologue, Mobius, and DigiheadsPrologue
—Come hear the voices from within the darkness. The main voice called itself “μ.” When asked, you answer with your own name. μ proclaims proudly, “It is best to forget the painful reality.” “From now on enjoy your life to the fullest.” The painful reality… You can already no longer remember anything of the sort. Perplexed and in another place, μ says “Welcome to Mobius,” telling you the name of this world. At that moment, your consciousness was cut.
When you become aware, you realize you’re in Kishimai High School. As your consciousness drifts out of a haze you vaguely realize the situation. It seems you’re in the middle of a graduation ceremony, and the graduation greetings are going to be performed. After a short time, the rearranging of your memories comes along… And you’re a Kishimai High School first year student. A typical, carefree high school student living an ideal student’s life in the midst of youth.
After some time passed, the school entrance ceremony began. You, who are of irreproachable conduct and excellent grades, and heavily trusted by those around you, were supposed to make a speech as the second year student representative. You go up on stage to make the address. However, a first year representative boy named Kensuke Hibiki then comes up on stage who, just the other day, read a response as a graduate.
I remembered the intense discomfort in your eyes as you projected Kensuke’s face to be that of a monster. There are more. You realize that there are similar monsters in the students that would have seemed normal until now. You could not stand the fear, jumped off the stage, and began running to escape.
You noticed, you remember it all. This is a different world. The existence of reality. You experienced pain in reality… But even so, you must return.
“He lacks talent.” “That person, too…” “I’ve seen it…”
During the ceremony that continued as if nothing had happened—where you jumped off the stage—only a few students were staring.
Mobius
An ideal world that the self-developed virtual idol μ created for the happiness of the people.
Only those who suffer in reality and sympathize strongly with μ’s songs are invited to Mobius.
In Mobius, people forget the existence of reality, and regardless of age, become high school students, as μ believes “it is man’s most glorious time.”
Those invited have different appearances and surroundings from reality, and become “the person they wanted to be,” and repeat a high school life that never ends. With the exception of some people, there are none that realize Mobius is not the real world, and unnatural occurrences have become unrecognizable in Mobius.
In order to grant the wishes of her inhabitants, μ preserves the energy of Mobius’ creation by singing songs composed by human collaborators called “Ostinato Musicians.”
Currently, only an area of the city called Miyabi has been created, with buildings and geographical features composed from the memories of the humans invited to Mobius.
Digihead
The nickname for μ and Ostinato Musician fanatics.
Emotions are fascinating solidified expressions of the mixed-up feelings within people that pierce the skin. The main characteristic is the acquisition of euphoria. The elevation of violence. A decrease in linguistic ability can also be seen.
Additionally, the people who change into Digiheads lose their self-awareness, and their change of appearance is not noticed by normal Mobius residents that forgot about the existence of reality.
Typically, those whose reason and public face suppress their desire in reality are more aggressive the more dependent they are on Mobius, considering there are no restraints. Mobius is a place thought to be the cause of emotional outbursts. Their existence is affirmed, and that rate of aggressive erosion is increased at a high rate when they listen to the μ’s music.
Although she is able to attack those who take on a negative attitude towards her, μ’s only principle of conduct is “to make known the goodness of μ.”
